An interior architect
in Paris, Munich and Provence
I trained at the École Camondo in Paris and have spent more than fifteen years designing and renovating apartments — and then running them for owners who live somewhere else.
I work in French, German and English — in Munich as well as in France, and remotely when that suits you better: video meetings, quotes checked and negotiated, weekly reports with photographs. And if you are buying, renovating or letting a property in France while living elsewhere, that is exactly the part I take on.
What I do
Renovation & site supervision
Drawings, materials, quotes checked and negotiated, trades coordinated, and someone on site every week. From the first estimate to the last door handle.
Decoration & home staging
Making a place better for the people living in it — with or without building work. And, when it is time to sell, staging it so it photographs and shows well.
Fitting out & managing rentals
Furnishing a flat or a holiday house so it lets, then running it: listings, arrivals, cleaning, linen, small repairs, monthly accounts.
Buying or renovating in France from abroad
Five things that usually go wrong
- A « devis » is not a contract. It binds the tradesman far less than you would expect. What is not written in it will not be done — and will be charged separately later.
- No décennale insurance, no bank financing. The ten-year builder's guarantee is compulsory in France. Without it your bank will not release funds, and you have no recourse.
- Your works are approved by the co-ownership, not the town hall. Façade, windows, structural walls, pipework: the owners' assembly votes on them, and it often meets once a year.
- Nobody supervises the site in your absence. There is no automatically appointed site manager. Without supervision, the tradesman alone decides what is good enough.
- Dates are intentions. Without weekly follow-up you lose months. It is not bad faith — it is how the trade works.
